I'm A Papa Of Two!

Today, I received an email from a familiar name in my Outlook. It was from the WorldVision. I don't know how to express my excitment with words but, I too, seeing hope in these children's future.

WorldVision sent me pictures of my children and a brief details on them. I am now, a father of 2, one male, and one female. Let's move on on the introduction.

Click to enlarge to see my children

Let's start off with Magana, my female child from Thushalusaka, South Africa. She's 9 years old and currently in her first grade. Life skills is her favourite subject in school. She only have her mother, 2 brothers and a sister. Her father's status is unknown. Her mom was unemployed and it means a lot of burden to raise 4 kids.

Next, I have Davulla, my male child from Arpana, India. Davulla is 12 years old and currently studying in 8th grade. He is much more lucky compared to Magana because, he have his father and mother, both employed, together with another sister in the family. He likes Local Language most in school.

As we can see from these children's eyes, I can feel that they are trying, really hard to reach out for something. And I believe, we, can give them this something. It may not happen now, but that something could come in in 5 years, 10 years, or even 15 years! Now that I see them, I had no regret in sponsoring them as my children. If I have the ability, I would sponsor as many of them as I can! The question is, would you like to do your part too? It doesn't mean that you must sponsor a child and so, NO. Your help spreading the words will help to build a better world too!

FYI, we donors, are NOT ENCOURANGE to choose which child we would like to sponsor. That way, WorldVision will be able to ensure that every children gets equal share of help form the world. I'm a Buddhist and I believe in karma. I believe, these children, might had helped me out in my previous lifes and it's my turn, to help them back. Even if you are not Buddhist, I believe, your religion, too, encourage you to help out the others whenever you can, right?

I'm now a papa of two!

p/s: I would like to send gifts to these kids but, there are rules. First, it cannot be expensive. Secondly, it MUST only be able to fit into a A4 envelope. Besides than sending pictures, any other things I might be able to give them as gifts? Please advise!

Are These Male Or Female?

I received a call today, asking me to attend a meeting with the local government and a few other authorities. All the FOREIGNERS must attend. Even I'm considered as foreigners. T_T

You know, in the States, Europe, and many other places we have China Town. In China, they already got their Japan Town, Korea Town and now, they are trying to do an India Town here in WuZhou.

I was having my meeting here

FYI, one of the WuZhou's main economy activity is jewelry. And many many Indians come from India and do business here and that is why, they wanted to have this India Town. Well, basically this meeting had got no concern with me from MALAYSIA but, I stayed on. Later on, only I realised that these Chinese had got some communication problems with the Indians and hence, I am becoming the translator.

I feel proud today. Hahaha! Now, here's the thing I want to let you guys see!

See these 2 pictures below.

Do you know that these statues, also got male and female? Try guessing, which is male, which is female?

Look closely again.

Here's the answer.

Did you get it right? XD

What Does RM 1.67 Means To You?

Have you ever wonder, how much are you spending your money on daily basis? How much do you eat per meal? Especially those who always visit Starbucks, fast food joints, Chilis, TGIF, RM 30 and above?

Now, for a simple RM 1.67 daily, you can actually help out a community to build their environment, and give them hope in 10 - 15 years to come.

With this RM 1.67 daily (RM 50 per month), you can actually help by giving them these few things:

  1. Clean Water: Clean water and sanitation can cut child death by half. World Vision drills wells, protects water sources and installs piping system.

  2. Health Care: World Vision provides prenatal and natal care, children's vaccination and treatment, HIV/AIDS awareness and counselling sessions, and training for health workers/parents to recognise and treat illness.

  3. Food & Agriculture: World Vision provides seeds, tools and training so that the community can secure its own food supply, cutting death rate by another half.

  4. Education: Education is critical to your sponsored child's future. World Vision helps the community to build schools and train teachers.

  5. Economic Development: In poor communities, children are often pulled out of schools to help support the family. By teaching parents how to earn a stable income, children get to stay in school. World Vision does this by providing micro loans, and income generating skills training.

(Source) - To have a better picture of what I'm trying to address, please follow this link to see the Flash Demo.

Click here to know more about World Vision.

World Vision provides you with 2 different options to choose from. One is RM 50 whereby you sponsor a child, and the other one is RM 80, whereby you sponsor the child, as well as help preventing the spreading of HIV and AIDS, on different intervals (monthly, quaterly, half yearly, annually).

Today, I had finally made up my mind, and I sponsored 2 children. Payments can be done via credit cards, direct bank in, as well as Wang Pos. If you feel like you want to sponsor a child, try clicking this link. It don't even cost you a cent, just a click!

Some of us had been born with a silver spoon in the mouth while some of us, gone through the hard way just like the rest from all over the world. We had worked, we had failed, we had got up and strike again, and we are who we are now. We are in a better environment compared to them.

What does RM 1.67 means to you? A Roti Telur? 2 Roti Canais? For these children, your daily RM 1.67 means FUTURE to them. A future whereby, they can grow up as healthy as us, where they can start to explore more of the world with us! It's a future for them. For the world.

Are you ready to donate? If you don't, it's okay. Spreading the words helps too! Or, if you would like to, try becoming a volunteer in World Visions's programmes.

As you are seeing this message, this is indicating that I'm currently having a little bit of problem with the "backdoor" I'm using to access Facebook, Blogspot and Flickr in China.

If this thing gone wrong, I might not be able to update for another long long time.

God bless me. T_____________________T

How To Ditch A Guy In 10 Days

How to ditch a guy in 10 days.

I was chatting with Beng over the MSN just now regarding a serious matter I'm having in China.

After quite a long discussion, he finally came up with this brilliant idea.

"Aiyo, then you ma FFK him lo. A BIG aeroplane.", he continued, "late already, tell him 'on the way'."

"After one hour, you showed up and say, 'I'M JUST IN TIME!' ".

Repeat the above action for 5 ~ 10 dates.

How to ditch a guy in 10 days.

LMAO! Malaysia timing is good after all.

Can Anyone Get This Prince Charming Out Of My Life?

Dear God,

I know how much I had complaint that I'm so lonely in China, this and that but, this time, please get him out of my life. Thank you.

Yours sincerely,
Buttercup @ China

Here's the story:

Earlier this week, this particular teenager came into my life, in China. He's name is Tang and he's 21. I have to say, he's looking not too bad if you girls are interested BUT ain't gonna take his pictures.

Let's continue. He is also into photography and I was thinking, "Thank God, finally he sent somebody to me!". I was happy that finally I get to do something with someone. But things don't go as what I thought it would be.

This Tang Jr, also happened to be the son of Tang Sr, one of my suppliers. Tang Sr tried very hard to get me to have dinner with him, drink beer and everything and you see, those are not of my favourite. The son stepped in.

Initially, I thought, "Fineeeeeee, once or twice a week is okay. Good to have somebody to play with". Wrong wrong WRONG. Every morning I go for my badminton with my other suppliers, Tang Jr followed. I leave, he leave. I go he go.

I wonder, if I jump, will he?

And not only that, OMFFFFFFFFFFG, he's even gonna bug me on my only rest day, Sundaysssss. Fuck that! Seriously. Not ONLY that, he even bugged me during my office hours. That's too much liao, rite?

I know, people like him cannot be chased away. They had to be made to leave on their own and that's MY PLAN from now on. I'm going to let him bug me, and I'll do ALOT of boring stuffs, and I'll see how long he can lasts. I just can't stand it you know, when people took my ONLY Sundays off from my entire week.

I mean, come on! I only have 52 Sundays and you want to take all of them from me, hell No! Ambik sepuluh sen dan main jauh-jauh!

I know I'm bad, but I need time on my own sometimes. I had to be mean. I had show signs to you many times Tang Jr, but you just don't get it. Don't blame me.

Get out from my life! Kthxbye.

p/s: FUCK! Just when I about to press "Publish Post", his dad called, "Can you please come to my house and help me to install the printer ar? I don't know how to install." WTF man! Cibai! It's fucking 9.23pm already and you still want me to climb up and down the stairs for what fuck!? It's not like just 2 or 3 storeys! It's freakin' 20 over storeys if I calculate altogether. On foot! No lift! FML. No, FT(heir)L. God's testing my patience. Amitabha.

Funny Toilet Signs

Not too long ago, I went to one of the most expensive restaurant in town with suppliers and had dinner. To tell the truth, not nice, and damn expensive.

But, here's a few interesting pictures to share with you guys.

Cobra, anyone?

Then I went to the toilet, and I saw a few signs... These were sticked at the wall directly above the toiletbowl.

Do your best, till the last drop!

Good Day! Please aim properly. Don't miss fire!

Society talks about advancement, please advance a step forward

On another day, I went to a shopping center, and these are what I found:

ORD. It sounds "odd".

Still waiting to see if I can find something else that's interesting.

I heard many people will pray in these few days in conjunction of Hungry Ghost Festival. Let's see if I got time to shoot something.

English Is Really Difficult.... For Some

I saw this in the email and, here it is:

*According to that email, it was a true story from the J_____ Embassy.*

A few days ago, Prime Minister Mori was given some Basic English conversation training before he visits Washington and meets President Barack Obama...

The instructor told PM Mori, "When you shake hand with President Barack Obama, please say 'How are you'. Then Mr. Obama will should say, 'I am fine, and you?'. Now, you should say 'Me too'. Afterwards, we the translators will do the work for you."

PM Mori met President Obama.

He mistakenly said "Who are you?"

President Obama was a bit shocked but still managed to react with humour, "Well, I'm Michelle's husband, HA-HA".

PM Mori: "Me too! HA-HA!"

Then there was a long silence in the meeting room.
