Helper Had Arrived!

Oh, I took this picture while I was back in Malaysia but I forgotten to post it up. Because it is sooooooooooo beautiful to me and I can no longer resist not to post it.

I know and I knew how hard is it to do self-potrait alone and hence, I decided to get a helper today. I had been to 3 major shopping malls in WuZhou but I could not locate my desired helper anywhere. I put all my hope on the last one -- WuZhou's digital mall.

After hours of searching, I failed. I dragged my heavy legs slowly out from the digital mall. "How could a big digital mall only sells computer stuffs and NOT camera equipments?!", I thought. Just when I almost give up, something caught my attention.

The only one, and THE LAST ONE AVAILABLE. Immediately I fell in love with it. Although it is not as tall as I wanted, but it stands at a maximum extension of 1.53m! WF Series Tripod WT 3730 weight a little heavier than my FREE tripod. It weighs about 1.22kg (this is gonna be a problem for me to bring it back to Malaysia - excessive weight) and it costs only RMB 170.00!

Another good reason why I like this tripod is because of the shoes.

I have no need to worry too much on uneven grounds because it is flexible to move around and stand firm.

Okay, done shooting the potrait of my new tripod, it's now my turn. With this tripod and my previous one, now I can do more.

Just in case you guys want to know, I'm firing my flash at 2 different zoom - 24mm and 105mm.

This way, it gives me better control on how the light is being narrow down without me doing any modifications to my flash unit.

I took quite a few shots but I'm only gonna show you three now. Do leave your comments. = )

And this, is my personal favorite.

*Many many many attempts before I got this one. Even though not as good as what I've expected, but, boleh tahanlah!

I Do It Myself

For the pleasure of this post, kindly READ THE TEXT FIRST before proceeding to the pictures.

It had been a long long while since I last posted things here. I apology to my frequent visitors for that.

Got back from Malaysia to China again not too long ago and am still rottening. I had been playing Facebook since the moment I wake up until the moment I sleep, practically.

It is always boring to do it myself because, it should be a pleasure of at least two person because, it is easier to change positions and both parties will be more comfortable at the same time. BUT, tonight, I have to do it myself again.

Trying it a few times in different positions, I felt awkward and discomfort. In the end, I went online and done a little bit of reading how to make things better, and to motivate myself to do it better.

I read, read, and read. I imagine, imagine and imaginated. I tried. One shot. Two shots. Three shots... Ten shots... Thirty shots... and it goes on.

These, are the few that I think are the best that I can present to you out of 50 over shots taken. Please do comment how to make my do-it-myself-shooting better.

p/s: DIY self-potrait is REALLY TIRING. You sit down, you stand up and you sit down again. Repeatedly. I'm gonna lose some weight because of this!

Home Coming King

In just another few days, I'll be back in Malaysia again for about 10 days. I want to eat a lot of delicacy! Among the firsts will be Bak Kut Teh!

p/s: Using backdoor to access is still rather unstable and slow. Looks like I gotta dig into my own pocket already.

Strawberry Harvesting in WuZhou

Last Sunday, I visited some local farms with my colleagues. We planned to pluck some tangerins and also some strawberries.

We travelled about half an hour from the center of WuZhou itself to the farm. Amazing temperature for winter, it was about 25 degree Celcius that day and the sun was hanging bright and big in mid air. It was hot, but also, together with cold breeze taking the heat away from our body.

14. See those strawberries? Sweeeeeeet~

After plucking the strawberries, we decided to go to another farm, where they grew fish and ducklings. It is really amazed how they had made their planning so well and some of our farmers back in Malaysia lost to their design and layout.
