A Few More Minutes

A few more minutes, it'll officially a 17 hours and 30 minutes countdown to my last second in HP.

It seems that lately, people are trying to take advantage(s) on/from me. Even over the phone.

On Monday, I went to that Chinese stall again in order to buy something less oily. I just took a small portion of steam egg and very little vege.

"How much?"

"3 Ringgit only, hehe!"

"So expensive, I don't want.", I left the packet of rice there and I left(*clap clap*, finally I've done it after so many times I say I want to do so!).

"Wah!!! 3 Ringgit only expensive meh?!?! Where got expensive O~~~", while she's showing the packet of rice to her colleague with her big-jumping-out-eye-balls staring at me.

You might think that, "WTF?! 3 Ringgit only also can't pay ar?"

FYI, I went to an Indian stall, taking a slightly more portion and guess how much is it? RM 2.30.

The numbers say it all.

A couple on the line. The wife was directing the husband on what to say(and i hear it loud and clear). It's pretty much like the Ms L case, if you remember.

Oh, also got one Malay guy, calling on behalf of the wife also, same gang with Ms L.

Fine.

Note to myself: Probably I should get HP to have this nomination for Best Actor/Actress/Couple/Story and Best Director.

p/s: I've got myself a compliment e-mail from one of my customer today, too. Finally after 2.5 months, my hard work didn't go to waste. Although I don't think I'll be there for the ceremony, but I'm happy enough. =D


Today, after off duty, in LRT.

"Hey man. How are you today?"

"Fine."

"Which way are you going? Kelana Jaya or Wangsa Maju?"

"Wangsa Maju."

"Oh yeah. You think TAR college still open now? I guess it's closed rite? Do you have extra train fare?"

"No."

"Do you understand what is train fare?"

"Yes. I'm using the monthly pass.", while showing off my shiny little *twink*monthly pass*twink* to him.

He shut-ed up-ed and was left behind.

Early in the morning I received this mail that is sent out from HP to its employees stating that there is a blood drive in Mazzanine Floor, Block B, 11th Dec to 13th Dec, 10am to 4pm. I made up my mind to donate blood today and adjusted my diet accordingly.

Once I had finished my lunch, I immediately went around and searched for it. I failed. I asked the guards at this building. They've never heard of the floor called Mazzanine.

"Fine", I said and I went on searching. I've searched for 20 minutes and guess what? There's no blood drive around!

I've called up a friend in HP Damansara and asked if his place have any blood drive. "Yes" he replied.

And so, for what the fuck are you stupid-person-in-charge, sending that stupid mail too all people around Malaysia?! What's wrong with you man?! Don't you ever let me know who you are or I'll really slap hard in your face.

You might think why am I so fired up and here's why:

And this just really pissed me off! Seriously, I am.

It Almost Had Me!

Again, woke up at 5 in the morning, and after so long didn't do training, I would say that today's training is a little too much for the fatty here.

There I went to the office, dragging my sleepy eyes and started my day off. Felt kinda powerless today. And in the evening, towards 5pm, I got a call. After asking the customer's name and phone number, I put her on hold, like what I usually did.

I used the few applications that I've always used, key in the data, and then, everything went blank. I was starring at the screen with all the info and I just "went away". When it come to my conscious, it was minutes away already! And I faster picked up the call and answer it. Thank God she's not angry.

And towards the end of the day, it was showing 17:26. I slept. And when I woke up, 17:31.

Off duty.

Why It Rained Whole Day Today?

Woke up at 5 to do some jogging, after errr... 2 ~ 3 months never jog at all? Sort of tiring but, it's nice to sweat. Really.

After jogging, came back and bath, and go to work. Once I reach my workstation, handsfree is attached to left ear, and walkman is attached to right ear. And since 7 something, I started singing, untill 1730. And that basically explains why it rain non-stop today, if you are around KL/Klang Valley.

For dunno-what-reason, my mood is extremely good today. When people feeling very tired and answering calls non-stop, I can just sing, and dance(I hope there's no earthquake around) at my workplace.

Overall, today is not bad at all! Just that, I didn't get to eat Genki Sushi and RotiBoy in KLCC. T_T

I took one man tou, 2 lin yong pau, 1 tau sa pau and, 1 small packet of Dutch Lady Strawberry flavoured milk for dinner. I so want to eat sushi now!

New Challenges!

Yeah! Finally! The new challenges had arrived, for me and fellow seniors.



My whole team and I shifted to the outside, sitting together with the seniors and manager, along with Australia team, Singapore team and dunno-what-team. And yeah, I'm sitting very close to manager. Good challenges ahead.



And my love bite on my lips isn't healing, yet. But I believe it will. Else, salts are on their way.

OMG School's Reopening Soon!

Buttercup says: One ear in, one ear out at the right time could have save you much of the trouble when you apply it at the right time.

Today Yesterday is kinda a bad day at work. Considered half of normal days calls but it's all difficult ones. Most of the seniors are out for training and only one is available. Many higher-authority-based problems can't be accessed due to lacking of man power.

Being lectured by senior on what to do and not to do but guess what? Everytime is a different thing and they just trying to make things easier and hard for my end of people. But like usual, how can we balance off these kind of situations are simple. One ear in, one ear out.

Nonetheless, today yesterday really gave me a long headache. We just don't have enough of authority to do things, not that synchronised from department to department, and people don't treat you like an adult.

Thanks to various people who had helped me indirectly to pacify my piece of mind. I just gained another level in my patience.

And it's hot today. I wonder how my roommate can sleep. Maybe my deposited hydrocarbon chain retained much of the heat, or maybe, generated them.

We Are The Champion!

Hell yeah! Today, I can get angry with all the best reason under the sun. Oh well, it's not really a big deal to me actually but, it marked a successful milestone for me to be a better man. Why? Because I don't angry because of I want to feel angry! LOL!

Today, I'm very very very angry and upset with the seniors. They need us to get things done, but they don't assist us in the sense that guiding us in a better way.

Towards the end of the day, I noticed that all my colleague at my place is very very frustrating and very angry towards the same thing. You bet!

It's them! Not all, but that two of them. When have problem, they'll come and talk nicely to you, smile at you, answer your questions. But once they don't need you AT THAT PARTICULAR MOMENT, "Get the hell out of my way you idiot!".

It's really hard to work with people with two face. You know what killed the passions? Seniors who felt threaten. We can finish up their mess twice or thrice their speed. How about that? Will you feel threaten if your juniors having such great potentials?

And for God sake! Monday you telling me A, Tuesday B, and Wednesday F! How the hell am I going to know what is to what? And we are all not updated to the latest information. And when we ask, guess what? Yeah, screwed up in the ass!

Nonetheless, I have all the reason to feel angry today. It's not my fault and everybody feels it. Seniors, time for a change.

I Salute You Ms L!

One old big time liar customer called up today. Let's name her L. Come and think of it, I was once fell into her silly trap as I believe her as my customer, but not today.

"Good morning, welcome to HP, this is Kenny, how may I help you?"

"Oh, Kenny ar. I spoke to you last time. My name is L.", payback time! "And I would like to know when I can get my computer ar?"

"Hmmmm, L ar... according to the system, I can see that my colleague had already informed you that the delivery will be next week. And can I know what's concerning you?"

"No la, I just want to know if I can get the PC earlier."

"Well, like what my colleague had informed you, there's no way we can expedite as the goods is not here in Malaysia yet."

"But you know ho...", there she goes, "Last time I heard another of your colleague said that I can get my goods by today(Lie 1). And now you telling me this. I wonder hor.... is it that HP is lying to us ar? I so pity those people who are purchasing the computers from you all lar."

"Errm, Ms L ar, normally, our customer called in and asked for order status, we'll inform them about the delivery date. And for normal customer hor, they accept and wait till the delivery day."

"So you are saying I'm not normal la now?"

"Oh no, of course not lah. I know that you concern so much about your computer that you scared HP took your money and didn't send you your goods ma... rite?"

"Yalor yalor! That's why la I now asking. How ar? Anyway you can help me ar?"

*And so, I advised her again to wait for the delivery date, again, again, and again.*
**This call lasts 10 minutes plus.**

"So, is there anything else I can help you Ms L?"

"Hmmm... guess that I have no choice but to wait lor.(Lie 2)"

"Ok then, have a nice day Ms L!"

"duuu... duuu... duuu..." She hung up.

I sent email immediately after this to all my colleagues, ask them to transfer to me the call whenever they receive a call from her.

And as per expected, she called back. My colleague answered. She transferred to me.

"Harlo Ms L ar, anything ar? Kenny here!"

"Ha? Kenny ar? Aiya! You know what ar? Just now once you put down the phone ar(mind you, she put down the phone first - Lie 3), got this number SMS me already! It's from 2999 (Lie 3)!"

"What did it say Ms L?"

"It says : 'You will die! You will die! You will die!'(Lie 4) like that wo! I received 2 SMSes already(Lie 5)!"

"Wah(sacarsticly), then how ar? You know who sent it ar?"

"I dunno lor! I think must be your senior J or that K.(Lie 6). I know lar it musn't be you course once you put down the phone, I straight away got the SMS already. Sure is not you(I know she want to say is me). How come HP hire people like J and K one? Agent Y told me last time he fired K already(Lie 7). Sure la K revenge now!" took a long breathe, "I called up to Celcom and they checked the number, they said is from HP wo(Lie 8)! They asked me to call mata to lodge a police report(Lie 9)!"

"Oh really ar? Then you faster go to Celcom lar... Ask them print out the report, then you faster faster go lodge the report, then you ma can fast fast ask the mata come here catch people lor!"

"Ya lor, I think I want. Neh neh neh you see! Now I got 9 of the SMSes already(Lie 10)! Jior! Who is this lar?!!"

"Wah, got 9 already ar? OMG! Then you must faster go call mata lor! Ask them come fast fast, we have people here to talk to mata one! We can help them to catch the person who send the sms to you!"

"Must be that K la! I'm so scared now la(Lie 11)..."

"Don't be scared la... Faster call the police lar... I will personally help you to talk to police one!"

"Aiyo! Now you see got 6 SMSes already(Lie 12 - remember it supposed to be 9?)!"

"Eh?! I don't know I hear wrong or what, just now I thought you said 9?"

".....", silent for the few seconds, "You know hor... I must talk to your superior about this already la. I must call the mata also."

"Oh good good. I will help you at the same time. I'll go fill up form now, and get all the calls in between you and HP from the system and I'll hand over to the police. Oh ya, Ms L ar, YOU KNOW THE CALLS HERE ARE ALL RECORDED RITE?"

"Hhhh.... h... Ha? All recorded ar?" Conversation came to a halt. I smiled in vain.

"Ya lor, then how are? When you want the police to come ar? I need to faster tell my supervisor ler..."

"I think no need already la. So ma huan(Lie 13). I will wait lar... Better don't let me receive that SMS again(Lie 14)! Bye!"

"Have a nic...... Ms L", as she hung up. Talk time timed: 20 minutes and 14 seconds.



You know what? I just enjoy talking to her. All the time. Can you see how many lies she created within that little amount of time? And I really respect her for her creativity and her courage to talk big, till I informed her that all calls were recorded.

Desperate people are just damn good in reaching their goals. This is for you, Ms L.

Say Thank You With Your Heart, Not Mouth!

Today is a good day. As I'm getting more patience, and of course, the system aren't down today.

In my department, we have always been doing the same thing everyday. However, I still find that it's fun. Very fun indeed.

You got to talk to many people and you can really see how people reply to you. 99% of them will say "Thank you" while the 1% will just throw their receivers somewhere without saying the magic word. We always get used to the 1%'s behaviour as we know, not many are polite.

I personally think that, I am responsible enough to every single customer that I've got, and I attend to their need all the time and I even OT-ed for them. And of course, you always get to hear the phrase "Thank you" from them. However, how many really meant it?

Haha! The number doesn't really matter. Let me share with you some examples:

I received an email today and this is part of it:

"Until yesterday I called again and spoken to Mr. Kenny Yeoh and was told the delivery will have to wait another few weeks. I complaint to him regarding the delivery and lucky he was helpful enough to ask the person in-charge to keep me posted on the tentative delivery date."

Although this is not considered as formal compliment in my company, I, nonetheless, felt very happy as I know that I've done my part and I somehow helped this customer.

I OT-ed till 7 something. I made the last call of the day. Towards the end of conversation, :

"Ms XXX, that'll all be it. Is there anything else I can help you at it?"

"Oh nothing much already. Thanks a lot Kenny."

"Well then, have a nice day miss."

"You too. Oh ya, by the way, don't work till too late wo. Bye!"

I smiled, "Thanks a lot miss. Bye."


I don't know if you get the moral of the story or not. All I want to say is, a few lines of words that comes from the bottom of your heart can make someone's day. It's just a simple few lines. Especially when the customer told me "Dont work till too late", it totally melt my heart off and let me know that my OT is worth it for this customer as people know how to appreciate.

Do say words of appreciation if needed. People like me might get tens of hundreds of complaint calls a day but just this one customer at the end of the day had made my day worth it all.

Well, about to say something boring here. Don't read if you aren't prepared to be bored. If you do, please proceed.


Today, is one of the most busiest day as 2 of my colleagues went off for their 5-day-break. Expecting even worse on Friday to come. Since I've joined HP, I've realised that my life is even more meaningful and I'm able to see more people with my ears, and hear more people around me with my eyes.

I'm not boasting but I would say that I'm kinda hardworking. I got one and a half hour break a day but, in total, averagely, I took only 25 ~ 30 minutes break per day. Being a workholic(might sound a little too serious), I AM responsible of what I'm doing and I'm prepare to take any blame if it is my fault.

Now, being a senior to someone who's new, a senior supposed to care and to teach their subordinates in a better manner and show a good example to newcomers. Some did, but not all.

Being told that, things that I've submitted to seniors will be reverted back to me, I have got nothing back in the end. Hence, a few calls and a few messages were made and guess what, some of the seniors just don't really like me being that responsible it seems.

If you know how teamwork and coorperations play in a customer service department, you'll know how important are the feedbacks from the rest of the department to you. But it just never did.

I AM sad; I AM upset; I AM disappointed. But, I'm not defeated; I'm not dead; and I'm not down. I know that You are testing my patience and rationality. I'm listening and I'm facing it!

Human IS Changning!

You know how powerful is RM 1? It's powerful enough to turn a man into an animal. Seriously, the taxi drivers here isn't of service anymore. All they see is $_$. Other than that, talk to the hand.

You can just see how rude those drivers giving you less change( for eg. I gave 5 bucks today but he only return 3 to me. Supposingly to be 4.), don't let you get into the taxi if you aren't going into the same direction with him. They only want to fetch people to short distance places, but getting a lot from it.

I've seen with my own eyes that, a few good drivers, who were then peer-influenced by their mates, and turn their back on angels and bow their heads to Satan. Enough said for them... Just speechless, hopeless and God bless their souls.

Back to work.

Hey Rachel, you are not the only one who got praised ok? Today my supervisor suddenly called up :

"Hey, later come to my place. I've gotta talk to you."
"Yes sir.", not knowing what's going to happen.

At his place.

"I've look through the system just now and I realised that you've answered the most calls, and does the most job. You're hardworking and very productive."
"No-lah, where got..."

Wow, that feeling is nice! I've here only for about 2 weeks plus and, this is a good motivation! Later, I was assigned to help out other departments after my job was done.

Today I was assigned to C&C (dunno what does it stands for), and I helped them to do some data entries and clearance. Basically this job is easy, I think, but time consuming. This is a copy-and-paste job.

If you've work for sometime in HP, you'll know that you need a few skills to it. First, planning. Second, speed. Third, coordination of eyes and hands. Fourth, confident. With these four, you'll never have mistakes and I can guarantee you, you'll finish your job a few hours faster than the rest. And I am the proof! LOL!

Ok ok.. enough of boasting already. I gotta go as I OT-ed 4 hours. Just imagine facing the monitor for 12 hours a day. It's much more suffer than DotA overnight!

I'll Be Back... Soon

People always say that, when you've done a mistake, you'll learn from it. I do learn from it. But it seems that not all experience that you get will give you back something positive in time to come.

Sometimes, it just make the matter worse. And did I tell you that one of my colleague in HP's gonna get married? Oh, congratulations to her. Guess how she met that guy? Arranged marriage.

Seems to be a good way too. I didn't know that this method still alive. It might probably my turn the next time.

I can now clearly see why some people suffer from mental illness from a simple relationship. Mentality plays an important role. Love the people who you are with now. Don't regret.

I Am Kenny Yeoh

Ladies and gentlemen, babies and elephant. Today, I would like to tell you that, I had failed my metabolic biochemistry. Oh well, it's just a fail rite? Ain't that big deal isn't it?

Next semester, I can't take 2 of the subjects but to repeat Biochem, and only if I have pass it for the second time, then only I can proceed with the other 2 subjects.

Before, during and after, I prayed to You for a passing, You gave me a fail. I understand why You do that, it's because, this is my Take Two and I ain't getting anything from the previous lessons. Thank You for making me realised that, how much time I'd wasted; how much advises I'd ignored; and how much I'd take people around me for granted.

And now, I'm in HP, started to find myself back, and head towards the path that I should've taken long ago. I am gifted; I am strong; I am pretty; I have You and you.

But, this year, I wouldn't say that I've failed, it is rather fruitful. Many things, many people, had made my life even richer this year. I am richer than many many people, physically and mentally, from all around the world.

I'll be strong like always, and head for a new start, starting from HP. I am Kenny Yeoh!

I Dream About You All The Time....

Today I've started to answer calls. And it seems to be that a lot of customers requesting for Mandarin speaking agent and, I'm here! Hehe! Oh well, today is not a bad start after all!

And I'm going to work on Saturday and Sunday for some extra cash! WooooooooooHoooooooooo!

I'm So Gonna Cry!

Today is seriously fruitful! We've gone through the softwares, systems, tele-ethics and TCE(Total Customers Experience) and I would say that the TCE benifits me most.

There are so many kind of real life examples, and all these examples are burning the tears deep in my heart. For example, a dad in Australia called up to ask if he can buy a laptop of certain model for his daughter who's dying, because his daughter are unable to speak and going to go off soon, she wants to send something to her friends before she leaves. However the certain product is EOL (End Of Life - No longer in production), and HP come up with other ideas to overcome this.

The main thing that I'm trying to say is, I'm seriously very touched by all these stories, and they AREN'T CREATED for purpose but real stories. It really somehow burning the hot hot passions in me to start working as soon as possible to lay my helping hand to those who are in need.

I don't really know how to express in words but I can only conclude to you guys that, I started to fall in love in this place and today is really fruitful!


p/s: All newbies got their new ID, seats, PC and telephone line already.... Except for me T_T. Gotta wait till next Tuesday. Sigh. However, ganbatte! Yosh! And I purposely called up Digi to see how the customer service speaks... Why not Maxis? Cos have to pay ma!!
