What you need to know about when there is a natural disaster: Flood

It had been a long long while since I updated, but I think there's a littttttttttttle need for me to update now: the Thai flood.

As far as I've remembered, I've only encountered one small flood when I was back in Malaysia, of which is about 30cm in height. Now that I am working in Bangkok, I'm going to experience it again, maybe. *My place is still dry*

Thai people had been bombarded by massive information over the internet and has got NO CONCLUSION how bad this will go, and how long it will be. For the first few weeks, it caused panic and everyone had been storing food and clean water for use when the flood is coming in.

As for my place, the people here had been waiting for a very long time for the flood to come. From "Flood, please don't come", then they prepared, and waited, to "please come now, we are tired of waiting an anticipating".

Massive bombardment of information had put many yet-to-wet-lands into halt. Business, schools, restaurants and etc. The economy is taking a big hit from this flood. Tourists are worried and many of them cancelled their trips to Bangkok - of which is a good thing, and a bad thing at the same time.

Why bad? Cash flow. The flood had already "prevented" many tourists to come and spend. Let's take the ancient city Ayudhya for example. It had been flooding for weeks, and it's still flooding, and will be flooding. When the water's gonna go away? No one knows exactly. Now is Bangkok's turn.

Many of my friends had retreated from Bangkok but I'm still stucked here with works. It's not to say that my boss's crazy or what but, it's the right thing to do at the moment, for a company to survive. Many of the companies are doing the same thing. We won't know when the flood is coming, we won't know how long we might need to close down our factories.

However, we are all still pretty lucky because food is still widely available, but bottled water is sarced. You can hardly find a tiny bottle of water in Tesco Lotus, 7-11, Family Mart, or even restaurants. Clean drinking water will be one of the main concern and major problem when the flood fully covering Bangkok, I think.

Nonetheless, Thailand is full with kind people. We have got a lot of people helping out each other and at the same time, many charity bodies joined in and help to get things right. Thanks to people like Roosuflood, many people understand more about the flood and get themselves much more well prepared.

Not to forget, we too, have people like @RichardBarrow to update us (the Thai Language illiterate, LOL) in English, with #ThaiFloodEng too. The world is good with people like them all around to help.

Last but not least, pray for Thai and the world. =)

Finally after a 7-week long hectic work-all-days-include-weekends, everyone gets to rest on Saturday & Sunday.

Since I have got 2 good days to rest, I've decided to catch up the movies that I had left out lately.

1. The sky was clear and dark blue-ish. I went back for a bath and came back again in 20 minutes, it became like this. T_T

2. This is the only part of the sky that is still blue-ish.

3. Just to let you see how is the bus ticket look like in Thai.

On Saturday, I went for "Super 8" and "X-Men First Class". I must say that, I heard too many good reviews on Super 8 that, made me somehow disappointed in it. On the other hand, I think at least X-Men is worth the money.

4. Of course, I went for my brunch first before the movie. This is Burger King's Triple Outlaw, and yet, it's still small. Felt like I've got cheated. 239 baht. =( Oh well. Life goes on.

5. The entry to the cinema. There are big comfortable sofas outside for you to sit while waiting for your movie to start. And I like the decorations a lot.

After the movies, out of a sudden my shopping mood is on. This is VERY RARE! I bought 2 trunks for Krabi later next month.

6. Later of Saturday, when I am going home, I saw this. Immediately I took out my wife and start snapping.

Today (Sunday) I have class in the same place. So I went back again. Today aren't as lucky as yesterday. It was raining heavily and I almost soaked up. After the class, I went and bought what I've struggled to buy or not yesterday.

7. Two trunks on the left bought on Saturday, the 5 shirts (the one that I'm struggling to buy) are in promotion BUY 4 FREE 1. One mouse on the top left corner, Harry Potter & the Death Hollow Part 1 plus two games.

A letter to the 16 year old me

**Highly inspired by ShinD, and hope I can express myself well enough here.

Dear 16-year-old me,

Hmmmm, life had been great and lucky stars had been shining on you recently. The 7A1B PMR results surely had put you through the skies and make you above everyone else. You have pretty strong and high confidence in yourself in almost everything.

Starting of the year had been great. You scored pretty well in the first Ujian Bulanan on this year and it DID put a lot of others in shocked --- that how can a dumb boy outcasted them. Your egoism had just grown. But they had never knew that, for all these, you are doing it for her.

One fine day, you were talking to your friends and they told you that Ee Von already have a boyfriend. It is quite a big shock for you and you did gave up studies quite a little since then (worry not, you will somehow tell her what you were thinking out of a sudden in a random chat over MSN in about 2010.. or is it 2011? Can't recal though, I'm older, remember?). Results weren't good, emotion was bad. But you will be kicking away those bad emotions fast, but hard, and then focus on something more. You have started to participate in many activities, and you will be gaining a lot of reputation (but not the results, okay?) and becoming more and more creditable.

Being a leader and given more responsiblities, you will grow into a better man but still, the egoism flies high. Everything, as long as not in the way you wanted, you think it's wrong. The lucky thing is, you're not 100% ego as you still put other people's feelings into considerations at times. You too are willing to teach people what you know. Keep that up. Knowledge is for sharing, not owned.

2004
Form 5 will be such a great year to be remembered and enjoyed! Even though with the hectic timetable and tuition schedules, you still haven't let go up on your Taekwondo. It's good to know you're keeping that up. Just for the record, in this year, EVERY SINGLE FRIDAY, you will be leaving the house about 6.30am in the morning and reach back home only about 1am, the DAY AFTER. Tiring, but fun!

2005
"Career" wise, you're doing pretty good, however, SPM came real quick and of course, you didn't do too well. Colleges came into parents' minds but because you don't know what you want, you want to give it a shot in STPM. You started off pretty well, and you will be elected as the Assistant Head Prefect of STAR.

You want to know how you've got yourself elected? I gave a thought of it a few years later and it came down to two very important possibilities, and of which, I think it's good to be continued to practice them throughout the entire of your life time.

1) During the probation, they will be asking if there's any volunteer would like to help everyone elses to do a name tag. Nobody will raise up their hand nor say anything at all. At this point of time, a thought came into your mind "Man! How come no one wants to do something?", and followed by you raising your hand. You did not gave much thought to it. It's a simple job anyway.

2) You were never late, as it has always been, and always will be.

During the promotion, you wanted to be in charge of PA. Names were annouced and Kin Wai took PA in the annoucement. List goes on and your name were never called. You were about to gave up and suddenly, your name were called. Mr Sazli said that "because you are willing to sacrifice and volunteered into doing something others don't want to do, AND, you are never late, we would be happy to appoint you as the Assistant Head Prefect". Those were some of the words that I think encouraged me(the you in the future) throughout my entire life.

Then you will soon become the President for Taekwondo Club, Chinese Language Society and... I can't remember. There are quite a few I think. During your tenure, you will be raising and aspire quite some people who worked with you. To me, I think it's a good sign that you teach people back what you've learnt from someone else. Do not own one knowledge. Shared it.

2007
Time flies by and STPM came. IF I'm not mistaken, you did not pass your Physics eventhough you're a Physics class students. You did quite well in MUET though. CSI came into mind, and you started to be interested in becoming a coroner.

However, you did not do your survey good enough. You simply picked UTAR and go in Biomedical Science and start from Foundation courses again as you don't know what to do. Like I said, stars had been shining upon you. It wasn't a big waste after all. UTAR is quite a good university that nurture people in their soft skills and you really picked up a lot from there. You will start to see too, how people in the world behave like. Trust me, this isn't anything, yet.

It was a hasty decision, you and a girl became "couple" over the MSN. But you never knew that you were just another float for her. If I'm not mistaken, it's a 27-day relationship and it ended with you ignoring her calls in the end because you have lost faith.

2008
Life goes on for the next few years and you did met quite a bunch of good people too! You did fell in love with another 2 girls at 2 different time, but you were never able to patch up with anyone of them. The second girl here actually turn you down before you even started speaking. You will be joining the Wataniah. You almost gave up on the 4th day itself and about to cry!!! But your senior David tells you that "if you can do what is being told here, you can do anything in the world". You took that advise and you really do your best. You graduated successfully from the 1-month-hectic army training and you got back to university again.

2009
You will be failing in your Metabolic Biochemistry twice. First one in Year One, and second time in Year 2. The second fail is which that started to change your life. PTPTN loan will be freezed. UTAR ain't providing a loan because you don't have external guarantor. Daddy wanted to loan the money from bank and put on you but you know that you can't waste more money.

You know that your heart is no longer there. Of course, you cannot take up all the money and waste up in the end getting nothing. You opt to give up this chance and let your siblings have it. Great choice. You are not wrong after all. You started working about one month later. Here is where you starting to see the REAL WORLD.

Your first boss is great. He will be teaching you quite a lot of things and of course, in return you did a lot of things too! Just that, the pay isn't too good, for real. You are living in KL and your starting pay is RM 1200. And you need to get a car because you will be doing sales. Company ain't giving you a car. It's okay. Your boss said that they will raise your salary to RM 1800 once after 3-month probation.

3 months passed and paycheck came in. It was RM 1400. You build up some great courage and confront your boss. You will be hearing this: "Oh, I am. I'm going to raise it to RM 1800 eventually. Where got people one shot jump so high one?", and you bought it. One year later it's still RM 1400. Your sales are actually quite good. So good that the boss too, eventually cancelled off your commissions. Stay calm.

You were disappointed but you can't do anything. You have got no degree to move on. Lucky stars are here again. You've got an offer to work in China.

2010
Trust me, this is the starting of my nightmare (yours too la of course!). For 1 year and 7 months, you're pretty much on your own because their culture isn't something you are expecting. Note that, there's this woman who tried to pull you into adultery but you're smart, and good enough to not do anything stupid. Besides than that, there's this girl who is nicked as "1986" too will fall in love with you. You know that it's not going to fruit and so you didn't give her any hopes.

2011
In the 9th years after 16 years old, you're finally 25 and you're going to stand at where I am now. You will be given a great opportunity to learn all the things you can't get from a textbook but, you seriously will be damn tired and work like there's no tomorrow.

Since China until now, you had been closing down on the inside, though you're STILL helping those who needed help, may it be a pair of listening years or reading eyes. You won't know where this is leading you, but at this point of time, you're feeling 35 and alone. Alone not as in without a girlfriend, but alone in this world.

At this very moment, I wished that I can go home and work there. I am very tired.

I want to cry.

Taxi Scams - Bangkok (Read this if you're coming here for vacations)

First of all, I must say that Thailand is a really not-too-bad country. I am loving the culture as well as the people here. I had been staying here for almost 2 months and all things are good so far.

Enough for the introduction, let's go to the stories. MY stories. 3 different taxi drivers tried to cheat me 3 times in a row on 2 consecutive days.

Scam 1:

I touched down again in BKK yesterday and as usual, I got a taxi from the airport. It all went well. The meter was on, the driver DID NOT "beat-around-the-bush" and he sent me directly and exactly to where I wanted.

Once he stopped the car, he immediately turned off the engines (and the meter turned off as well).

"Nung roi ha sip baht (150 baht)", he said. "Mai chai! Nung roi yii sip sam! (No! 113 baht!)", I exclaimed while taking out 100 baht bank note and coins from my wallet. He was shocked, and he snapped the 100 baht from me and drove away quickly.

This is something new I experienced!

Lesson: Always keep your eyes on the meter as it goes. It might just helps you in time like this.

Scam 2:

I was taking some sourveniers to work today morning. So it's not convenient for me to take the Soong Diao (a type of local transportation, bigger than a tuk-tuk, normally costs about 6 - 8 baht) to work and hence, I get a taxi to work.

This guy is a cliche one, he tried to bring me to another way, a much longer way. Lucky me that I know the place, I told him that I know the direction and please go as I said. He had no choice but to follow.

Lesson: Learn about your location and destination. At least, you roughly know where you are even though you can't speak/stop them for bringing you around the destination.

Scam 3:

Another cliche one.

I wanted to go to airport and fetch my colleague. So I got this taxi and went in it, telling him that I would like to get to Survanabhumi Airport.

"Soong roi (200)", he said.

"Mai daii (Cannot!)! Meter!"

Then only he use the meter. The actual fare is only 95 baht from my location to the airport.

Lesson: Whenever you're in Thailand, ALWAYS insist on using the meter. You often lose on negotiated price when it comes to taxi.

Some facts about taking 4-seater taxi from Survanabhumi Airport (I'm not sure about the other airports):

1) Whenever you get a taxi from the airport, there's a surcharge of 50 baht (excluding fare and toll). You MUST pay this amount. However, the 50 baht surcharge will not be implemented if you get the taxi from other places (outside airport region), and going to the airport.

2) If you're taking taxi from airport to the town, you will experiece the below scenarios:

a) The taxi driver will pay the toll first, and you will need to pay them the toll fee later on.

b) The taxi driver will ask you to give them some money first (example: 100 baht), and when you reach your

destination, they will give you back the change.

Shall you need receipt for toll, you may tell the driver "Bill/Check". They will get the toll receipt from the operator on

the way. IF I'm not mistaken, I don't recall getting any receipt for taxi fare though.

3) Whenever you're taking a taxi, make sure you have SMALL CHANGE (100 baht or 500 baht). The taxi driver might not

be able to return the change to you if you're paying them 1000 baht. So, go get something from the stalls for small

change before leaving the airport.

4) From the Survanabhumi Airport, the average travelling time to reach the city center (Silom Road, etc) are about 35-45 minutes [no traffic jam] and 45 - 90 minutes [or more, if during peak hours]. Schedule your arrival time and avoid peak hours. The taxi drivers usually drive at 120kmph whenever they can.

5) Average taxi fare from Survanabhumi Airport to city center are about 220-300 baht (or a little bit more). Toll fare will be about 85 baht and gives you a total of 300 baht - 400 baht max (city center).

Extra facts:

You may also take the Airport Rail Link to the city from the Survanabhumi Airport if you dislike travelling by taxi.

a) You may take the direct link from the Survanabhumi Airport to Mahkasan for a fee (sorry I don't have the price).

b) You may take the normal train (stop by several stations) from Survanabhumi Airport Station to Phaya Thai Station roughly about 45-60 baht per person. From Phaya Thai Station, you will be able reach other parts of the city at different fares.

Useful phrases:

1) Hello/ Goodbye = Sawadeekrap (male speaker) / Sawadeeka (female speaker)

2) Sorry/Excuse me = Korthor krap/ka

3) Where is the toilet/washroom? = Hong naam yuu tii nai krap/ka

4) How many (quantity) = Tao-rai

5) How many baht/ How much = Gii-baht?

6) Have/Don't have = Mi/mai mi

7) Want/Don't want = Aau/mai aau

8) Can/Cannot = Daii/mai daii

9) Cheap = tuuk (normally you won't want to say cheap when you're bargaining, right?)

10) Expensive = Pheng

11) very very expensive = Pheng maak maak

12) thank you = krob khun krap/ka

13) station = Satanii

If you are looking for cheap hotels, Kao Shan Road is the best place to find when you're visiting Bangkok. It's averagely start from USD 11/night. I don't know what way you would like to book/find your hotels but, I had always been using www.agoda.com (nope they didn't pay me. I wish they would LOL). Agoda.com offers really great deals all over the world. (Again, they DID NOT pay me.) If you don't believe, you can try to check out the rates =)

Hope these experiences of mine give you a better pleasure when you're visiting Thailand in the near future. =D

1. Last 2 weeks, went to MBK and meet Mike and friends. They are heading for the Motor Show while me just wandering around the town.

Boy to Man: Monk

According to the Thai's culture, in order for a boy to turn into a man, becoming a monk is part of the process. Becoming a monk in this stage has got one important message: That is, to thanks the parents for raising him from boy to man. They normally become a monk for a period of about 15 days.

I am honoured to have a chance to witness part of the process of the ceremony as I was invited to my colleague's spiritual ceremony. It was about 2-hour journey from Survanabhum airport. We reached there about 12pm and then, the ceremony begun.

1. Family members and relatives were invited to help the boy to cut the hair. It's the honour of the boy to receive blessings from his family and relatives this way.

3. There were loud musics playing all along and some people dance too!

22. We then went back for dinner after shopping at the market. The family of the boy who are about to be a monk, treats everyone dinner.

Sawadeekap! Well, the update's a bit too slow but still, I finally have a little bit of time to keep my blog alive.

My first time using the SMART Tunnel, thanks to Wei Chun.

1. First up, peeps that I've met during CNY.

2. I was on my way to Thailand already. Looking familiar?

3. The second or third day I'm in BKK, my cousin brother Thomas brought me to one of the mountain whereby 释迦牟尼佛 used to have His teaching. Look at those 4WD's. It started with a thrilling ride up the mountain (half of the mountain) and if you're not careful, any single time you can just bounce out from the back seats.

4. It started with prayers at the middle of the mountain, and it continued ALL THE WAY UP to the highest point.

HOWEVER, those other people, might have to wait half a day or more just to get a place to reach the mid-check point of the mountain. Thousands of people stopped at the side for a rest before continue hiking/decending.

First time I'm seeing Waiters & Waitress dancing during peak hours in restaurant. MK Restaurant is a big brand in Thailand.

Had finally started working about 1 week. It's kind of okay still, but a lot of things to be learnt. The biggest problem of all is that, I can't speak Thai, yet. Like the saying goes, "The fastest way to pick up a foreign language is to get a local girlfriend".

**There are a few things I noticed in Thai & people.

1) I travelled to work in a "Song Diao", it's something like a small bus. No matter you're a guy or a girl, as long as you're carrying a child, you will be given seat even if the "Song Diao" is packed like sardine can.

2) They are actually very nice people to talk to.

3) So far I still can't converse in Thai but of the things I've heard in their conversation, you can hardly raise your voice when you're speaking Thai. It just "doesn't allow" you to raise your voice, in a way.

My First Winter Fog

It's about 0 degree Celcius in the morning. I woke up like usual, open my laptop and start to Facebook. Suddenly I noticed something's different. I rubbed my eyes.

I stood up immediately and grab my dusty wife. The winter fog gave me and my wife an orgasm right away. *My wife is Sony A350 okay? Dun think so much*

Few days ago, a guy named Alvis Kong (Alviss Kong) suicided after he left a note on Facebook. There were a big hoo-haa and I can safely say that a lot of the chinese communities shared the suicide notes all over the places.

And then more people shared. And still, sharing.

Just recently AGAIN, another guy too, left a note on Facebook again, and plan to suicide on the 15th December 2010. Do we even realised how powerful are these kind of influence to people who does not have a strong will?

Let's go back to animal abuse at first. People shared the first video on the net. Then somewhere on the Earth came another video. Then another. Then another. Another and another. This is a never ending story because we who shared those videos, [we might be scolding those people BUT] actually encouraging the act of animal abuse. It's what we called as adverse effect.

The same effect takes place when we sharing news about somebody suicide. ESPECIALLY, on how detailed they suicided. It makes people learn.

Perhaps, when you choose to suicide for sure, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DONT DO THE FOLLOWING:

Jump off a buidling - you will probably shattered every single organ in your body.
Medications - you will probably screw up your liver and kidney so badly.
Injections - you will pollute your own blood a lot and followed by destroying all the other organs.

Now, why am I giving examples of these few? Because when you did any of the 3 (or more), your blood and organs cannot be used anymore! Come on! Before you suicide, please do some good here and suicide at those places itself whereby they can immediately take out your organs so that you can still contribute to the world even after you die. At least drain your blood dry in our Blood Bank!

Be selfish no more, and STOP SHARING THOSE VIDEOS OR NOTES. You're just as good as the mastermind behind their suicides.

他自杀的最后留言在网上不停的传，传了又传，传了再传... ...

今早像往常上了 “面子书” 游览，又看到另一位男生要自杀了，计划死于2010年12月15日。他跟Alvis一样，“面子书”上留言后打算自杀。你们是否知道，当我们将这些负面信息分享出去时，多少个有类似想法的人会被影响？

回到前些日子，有人上传了虐待动物的短片。过了不久，世界各地上传了种种的虐待动物短片。当让，我们之间很多人不服气。 “我在传这些短片的时候我都是骂他们的！”，你可否想过，多少人一样也骂了那些虐待动物的人还有Alvis Kong，为什么负面被人家骂的事竟然还是会有人继续做？

“说者无意，听者有心”，同一个道理。尤其是当那些留言或短片里头有非常仔细的虐待/自杀内容，更为容易模仿。都有“老师”教了嘛，不必怕不会做。

话说回来，如果真的要自杀，可以。但是千万别做一下的这几样：

跳楼 - 这样会使到你身体里面的内脏粉碎，九死无生。
药物 - 这样会让你的肝脏和肾脏过于操劳而损坏。
打针 - 不止内脏不好，也将血液污染了。

为什么我会特别提醒这几样东西？因为你如果真的要自杀，那请你不要那么自私，你的器官和内脏还有血液还是可以救很多人的。自杀前请到这里注册成为捐献器官者，那么至少你死后还对社会有用，也顺便积点阴德。也或者，你可以去国家血库银行，在那边将你的血捐给人不好啊？

做人不要再那么自私了。还有，请停止分享/转载这些短片和文章，因为你们不间接就是那些害命的幕后主谋。

5th Trip to Hong Kong

Though it's a 5th one, still a business trip. LOL. Managed to spare some time to go around Hong Kong.

1. On the way to GuangZhou before transit using train into Kowloon (HungHom) directly. Due to ASEAN Game, there's 2 roadblocks spontaneously. Nothing like this happened before in my trips to Hong Kong.

4. Forgot what street was this, it's night shot!

5. I dropped by this shop to have a taste on this Ginger Steamed Milk. Teh Halia is better.

7. People told me that there are a lot of things to eat in Temple Street, I thought it was our Pasar Malam style, who knows it's like this.

Photography Exhibition in WuZhou

Quite some days back, my boss was here. My staffs in China would like to have a taste on Bubur Cha Cha. So, my boss and I joint hand to cook and let them taste.

Yesterday night I received a call. It was from a President of a local Photography Society. He invited me to go and have a look at the opening ceremony of their photography exhibition. And so, I promised him to go.

Like usual, I am always early and the ceremony started about 28 minutes late from the told time. I am not too sure if it's their first exhibition, because from what I see, only a few pictures are really good out of the gallery. The rest basically are not-that-well-composed OR, highly PP-ed. It's quite a big disappointment to me.

Some good pictures got only 3rd or 5th prize, while the highly-lousily-PP-ed shots got first. Judges must be bias. OR, blind.

From Flying Protons to Warisan Merdeka
Since Najib and his cabinets decided to put this mega tower into the 2011 Budget, they had decided to go against the peoples' will and hence, the downfall of their empire.

Back in the 1990s. Our 4th Prime Minister came out with "Wawasan 2020" with the vision of flying Protons and well-developed light railway transit. Year 2020 is barely about another 10 years away. And Proton has YET to solve the power windows problem. Flying Protons? Hey, great dreams you have there. You know, people often say "it's good to have dreams as motivations, BUT, keep it close to reality".

Oh, did I told you that our 4th Prime Minister, the one who came up with "Wawasan 2020" had withdrew his words? Hmmmm....

Where's the Bolehland's Spirit?
Spending RM 5 billions on one tower that is expected to be completed upon year 2020, I'm pretty sure it's a big, sweet dream. I dare not say 100%, but based on my primary instinct, I'm pretty sure that it's gonna costs more than RM 5 billions at the end of the day.

Now, my my.... What happened to the "Malaysia Boleh" spirit? Come on! By year 2020 and you're only going to make a 100-storey building? Where's your fighting spirit? At least make a 450-storey building and beat the shit out of Dubai!

Uprising Awareness
Too many white elephants had started to keep all Malaysians closer together 'in response' to the "1Malaysia" slogan. Recently there's a group named "1M Malaysians Reject 100-storey Mega Tower" Facebook page had started to circulate actively among the Malaysians.

In just a few days after the group was created, it had hit 152,248 "Likes" on the page at this hour. Massive comments were posted on the wall of the page in objection to the 100-storey tower. Comments from the 1Malaysia's people. Voices of the people.

I strongly urge you all to join this page and voice out your opinion. At the same time, share out the page to your friends and relatives and create this awareness among all. You might ask, "Why should I?"

Here's why.

Since "Wawasan 2020", we had YET to see and effective public transport system. Look at China. Wait, just let us look at Singapore. "I don't have a car, but I can reach to every single corner in Singapore". You might disagree that because Singapore is small. Let's scale down to KL itself. Can we reach out to the whole KL with Monorail? No. We need LRT as well. Why is there 2 systems? And THAT, is not complete yet.

This is certainly logically, and economically true! What you can generate from that RM 5 billions spent? Just about that amount of economy activity you can generate. But getting a Disneyland here, we can actually continuously generating a great amount of income EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

Ah, back to square one.

An open letter to AirAsia & Mr Tony Fernandes

Dear Officer/Mr Tony Fernandes,

I had been flying a few times with AirAsia and it had been a pleasure and I’m proud to be boarding on a Malaysian aircraft. I have a few suggestions and I do hope you all take a little bit of time to take a look at it.

First and foremost, it’s a mixture of complaint and suggestion. Serving the meals. Now, we had been told online that we will be served first if we book the meal online. We were served first, IF and only if we are sitting at the front rows. If you really take a look at it, it’s already about ONE hour since the aircraft took off and we who are at row 20s are still not having things on our trays when we book online. The funny thing is, people who did not order the food online had already purchased and finished eating while those who ordered online but sit at the back, had yet to take a bite on anything at all.

I have this bad experience just last week when I flew in from Guangzhou to KL, not only the flight is delayed, the food also served very slow. I was tired and hungry due to the transits and I did not take anything before boarding the flight, thinking that I’ll be served quick enough. I was very wrong. Just to keep this in mind of yours, “a hungry man is an angry man”. Learn it by heart.

So, what do we see from here? Efficiency. There’s almost none in this case I must say. So what am I suggesting? Have the pre-booked meal separated into two carts, deliver from the front and back simultaneously. You guys will be able to “serve those who book first” like it claimed on your website. Then, fall back to front and back, replenish your supplies and then only you start selling to those who did not order their meals online. Now, there’s another problem. You guys ALREADY have a list of who booked the meals online. HOW CAN YOU STILL MISSED? I shall leave this one for you to sort it out.

Secondly, we all know that where our flights are heading to. China, India, Russia, Japan, whatever. And we know that our crew members don’t know 27 languages on their tongues, each. A lot of times, the crew members just keep on speaking in English or BM and leave the passengers in total confusion. I am suggesting, if you can have a card or something with basic conversation needs like “kindly hold on until we start selling the souvenirs”, “kindly wait until we served those who booked online first”.

It might sound really really inconvenient but hey, we are trying to do our best to serve our passengers better, right? Maybe by improving little things like this, we could have, and might have touched people hearts and they will fly more with us the next time?

How do I know what kind of questions or answers I should put on that card? Go run a survey among your crew members. They know better.

The reason why I wrote this in is because, it had happened too many times, and it’s still happening. I hope there’s a change in near future and let’s make Malaysians proud with AirAsia!

A few weeks back, my dad actually introduced to me that this one show is good and worth watching. I tried searching for the show but I didn't managed to find it on PPS. So I skipped it.

Just yesterday, I was blog hopping and then, I bumped into a blog entry, "This is a must-watch-movie", it read. Immediately it reminded me that my dad used to introduced me weeks back about it.

I forgotten about it, again. I sat down, and thinking of how to pass my small little short holiday here, I turned on my PPS and 3 Idiots came right at me.

I was stunned and without thinking, I played the movie. This is one of the MOST WONDERFUL moments of 2 hours and 44 minutes of my life!

There are so many things that this movie is constantly teaching, and REMINDING us, how beautiful and simple life can be... I strongly recommend everyone to watch this movie!

I am going to give it a 10/10!! Perfect score.

A perfect score for good role play, good story line, good morales, good everything. This movie of Bollywood had told us one thing, changes had been made, and revolutionary had come! Even Bollywood movie had already gone out from the cliche fighting scences and moved on to a more educational ones.

I really LOVE this movie. It touches my heart a lot. You MUST watch this!!!

Yeap, for the past one week, I was in Hong Kong for exhibition, aka, WORK. I was in a great dilemma of brining my camera there or not but in the end, I decided to bring my Sony A350 mounted with my 50mm F1.7 Minolta prime lense and a 4GB memory card.

I did not regret much about this decision.

Even though I don't have the leisure to do the shooting, but I shoot whenever I have the time/chance. Let's begin my journey with my first fried rice back in Guangzhou while waiting for train.

Well, Mid-Autumn Festival is coming soon and so, I need to buy something for my supplier.

1. RMB 188.00. Oh yeah, China's mooncake is NOT NICE.

2. I tried their "cold skin mooncake", tooooo sweet. RMB 11.80.

After that, I went home and shoot something that I have got the idea since the past Wednesday, but something I'm lacking skills in.

公平与不

机缘巧合下，有人提出了这么几个问题：

1）人一出生就不公平. 為什么非洲的小孩一出生就沒吃飽過？

2）為什么有的小孩明明吃了還吵直吃?

3）為什么我們分多點"公平"給更不公平的–群???

我今天刚刚看了净空法师的《和谐拯救地球2》，里头刚好有讲到因果。我借用他的意思，加上我自己的言语作了这么一个的解释。

*一下的见解，是基于你相信因果。*

1）

他们没得吃喝，因为他们前世不懂的珍惜食物。尤其是现在的人，吃了两口就丢了，下一世肯定的，他也会没东西吃。

那你会问：难道全非洲的人都这样吗？

答案是明确的。俗语说：物以类聚。这个就是非洲人以前所造的“共业”。“共”是一起，“业”是所做所为。所以这些人都沦落到要受饥荒的地方去承受他们以前造的因，尝现在的果。

2）

那些明明吃了，又吵着要吃这个、要吃那个的。。。这个，不单是那个小孩，连他的父母都要负责任。这话怎么说呢？

我们的祖先祖辈（古人）教导我们：节俭的生活。你看到有哪个祖先是教我们有多少花多少的？再看下去，祖先留给我们的智慧（俗语，谚语等），有哪一个是教导我们变坏的？没有。

那问题出在哪里？出在于我们已经开始忘记了祖先的教诲。孩子吵着要，父母也依着给。将来这个孩子要风得风，要雨得雨。长大了，还得了吗？小孩子不懂事就算了，那大人因该要教导啊！

其实，这个事情不止发生在这个小孩身上。我自己也是。有时候，觉得嘴馋，买这个，吃那个。明明都饱了嘛，还在吃。这个是贪！我正在改着。我现在只是一天两餐。除非真的有必要我才多吃。

3）

你的题目不太明了，但是我依我的浅见解释一下。今天我们有钱，我们施舍给人家。我们今天有的吃，我们捐一点出去给人家吃。

第一、你在帮助别人。助人为快乐之本。别人快乐，你看了，打从心中的那种快乐，别人是体会不到的。

第二、你帮助别人，不止造福他人，你自己也累积功德。何乐而不为呢？

说真的，已经身在国外一年多，我其实根本没听过这个988电台的《早点说马》，更加不知道到底发生什么事。后来发现到Facebook越来越多有关报道，才恍然大悟：原来大马的自由言论又进一步的被封锁、封杀！！！

“你最好的朋友，就是你的敌人。因为他知道你所有的弱点再加以攻击，你才可以有机会意识到自己的短处、加以改善。”

遗憾的是，这个（些）“敌人”，其实是真正的爱国子民、希望国家进步的子民。因为看到国家生病了，但是又不能见“死”不救，所以才会选择“我不入地狱，谁入地狱”的下下策。

话说回来，马来西亚其实还落后欧美整整几十年！但是，因为一句“Malaysia Boleh!", 一句"Wawasan 2020" 而打肿脸充胖子。样样东西都要跟人家比较，人家做什么，它也做什么。

好，我们说说封杀吧。拿美国来说，他们封杀的东西可多啦！从经济、历史、人文、战争、政策到科学，种种的封锁都有。但是，封锁了过后并不代表没事。他们这些国家策划精英都不是 "有个样" 而已。他们会探讨，到底人家说的有没有道理，如果有道理，那他们会开始采取行动，做出更改。人家深谙“敌人就是朋友”的意思。

大马不一样啦。我也学学一下人家的封锁! 你踩我的尾巴、吸我的空气的我就给你 diam-diam！总而言之，只要跟我对立的就得“消音”。正所谓: 顺我者生，逆我者“死”。到此为止，其它的什么都不用改，继续！这个乃是执迷不悟啊！（迦玛的Facebook也被“灭音”了）

要知道，现在世界各国已经开始在打着金融战，现在已经就快攻到亚洲核心了，他们还可以继续搞“消音灭迹”，根本不知道大难临头、更不知道祸害天下！自古以来，很多朝代都是被人家灭亡了，才知道自己错了。难道，我们也要再次经历比1997年更加厉害的金融风暴才会领悟吗？

我不否认大马有很多有才华、有远见的精英。可是，全都被逼着“听话”。就好比秦始皇，他说一，没人敢说二。但是，人家统一天下！你连自个儿的家都看不好，还要出去大声吠、去吓人家，太不象话了！

讲了这么多，莫非是想说：物极必反。等的，是时候、时机而已。就像《2012》里，我们一直摧毁着地球，时候到了，到最后损失的一定是我们自己（有一些还死到不明不白，不知道错在哪里！）。

套一句《货币战争2：金权天下》里罗斯柴尔德(Rothschild)家族的一句话：“毫无疑问，政治和金融从来是手拉手的。” 其中含义，你们自己去探索吧！

Lotus Shooting (2)

今天早上五点多就起床了，梳洗过后就出门。看到天气，老天似乎不做美。可能是我的功夫没到家吧。不管它，继续拍。不过，今天可没有多少张照片，也许是我心不在焉吧！

Woke up about 5-ish today. The weather doesn't seemed to be good but, heck cares, I continued shooting. Not too many pictures today... perhaps it was me who are not concentrating enough.

莲花 Lotus

莲花 --- 出淤泥而不染。
Lotus --- Unstained even though it's grew from the muddy water.

在七月头曾到过这个池塘，但是发现莲花连一个花瓣儿也没有，就下定决心一定要在七月尾或八月头再跑一趟池塘。
I was here early July but there isn't a single lotus at that time. Hence, I promised myself to return again at the end of July or early August.

皇天不负苦心人，终于让我等到了！反正都是我在讲而已，你只有份读，那就让照片来说话吧！

Mommy came to visit

A few days ago, mom came down to WuZhou to visit me. It was supposed to be a 3-day trip, but due to my aunt passed away on the day my mom came here, the trip was shorten. Only a few shots taken.

1. Brought mom to a tea shop, they sold home made Gui Ling Gao

5. Mommy was sicked though.

6. We had tea too.

12. Later of the day went to another shop selling GuiLing Gao.

If you don't know, I was kind of sick for the past few days (more than a week) and hence, I did not eat at my supplier's place. Like usual, I took bread for morning, skipped lunch and for 4 nights in a row, I had maggi for dinners.

I am finally better today. And I treated myself much better today. Take a look at the last few pictures for a clue of what I had today for dibrunch (dinner-breakfast-lunch). Yes, I was too tired that I skipped my dinner yesterday too.

《宫心计》观后感

序
想当年，都是陪着一家人晚餐吃饭的时候扭开电视，一面吃饭，一面做个电视迷。当时众多的港剧，种类繁多，不胜枚举。尤其是欧阳震华与刘青云的，我都喜欢看。

日度日，年度年。终于，我也开始因为学业而“离家出走”，搬到了八打灵再也居住。在宿舍里没有电视，我也不会下载，每天就是陪着电脑、课本、作业和运动来解闷,跟电视机再也不来往了。

几个年头过去了．．．老子也来到了这里继续为糊一口饭而拼了下来。前些没啥事情做，突然间想起人家都说《宫心计》非常好看，于是，我就用ＰＰＳ软件来看咯！

《宫心计》观后感
人心厌诈，危险无处不在，人人危在旦夕。为求自保，可以做出很多很多很狠毒的事情。当然，不是所有人都是坏人。当中就有出淤泥而不染的刘三好，其座右铭“存好心，说好话，做好事＂。

好心有好报！虽然在宫中挫折累累、受害不断，刘三好还是一样能“苦中一点甜”，积极面对事情，也尽量帮助他人。这是我们应该虚心向学的好榜样！

也有另外一种人，就像姚金玲，口是心非。嘴里说着是要帮助别人，但背后却有不为人知的阴谋。当然，这种人很快就会被人家识破。所谓, “司马昭之心，路人遥知”。切记，你诚心待人，人家就会诚心待你，不必多此一举。

你也许会问，“那么我诚心对待别人，但是为什么人家这么对我？”。这种人，最好的例子就是蔡尚宫了。这种人比起姚金玲更加阴险恶毒！她从头到尾就已经策划一切，你只不过是她的一个棋子。这个，正教了我们一定要“害人之心不可有，防人之心不可无”。谭司膳就是这样，差点就拜拜了。

善有善报，恶有恶报！切记，切记！

《宫心计》评语
其实，我还真的不明白为什么这个港剧这么的让人疯狂、爱之。我其实觉得这个港剧，除了当中的寓言故事，其它的就真的不怎么样了。让我一一说明。

一、我觉得这是我看过古代剧情最差的一个。片场敷衍了事，设计随便。让人没有那种堂皇的感觉。还有一些画面简直乱来，原本在监狱和好如初的两人，干吗第二天出狱有反目成仇？！

二、很多很多的对白重复，相信写剧本的人习惯了ＣＯＰＹ　ＰＡＳＴＥ这两个东西吧！对白重复，乏味之时，也觉得郁闷，就连老子都会背！

三、如果你注意到，除了丽妃，其它的人都是以死离开剧情。害死、自杀、冤死、老死。全都死得“不明不白”。剧情突然，没有太好的交代。

四、演技除了郭太后和马大将军我会有所赞赏之外，其它的有待加强。

回想多年前看到的《肥猫》之类的剧场，怎么都会比这个来的好。以上是小弟愚见，得罪之处，多多见谅。
